The fuel filter is the fuel system's defence against contamination from dirt and dust or particles in pump gas. Over time, your fuel filter will clog as it filters your fuel, restricting flow and causing your fuel pump to work under additional stress that can lead to premature failure.

Replacing your fuel filter is inexpensive preventative maintenance that improves fuel quality and fuel flow and increases the life of your fuel pump. It is recommended to replace the fuel filter every 6-12 months depending on application and usage.
